Tourism Promotion Ambassadors from 9 countries begin FTP tour
On Nov. 28, the 2024 Hainan International Tourism Promotion Ambassador Induction Ceremony & Hainan Short Video Creation Activity was held in the Haikou Historic Qilou Street's Shangnan Hall, welcoming twenty international content creators and key opinion leaders from nine countries who will tell the stories of Hainan through their lenses and voices, allowing the whole world to discover the beauty of this tropical Chinese province.

On the day of the event, twenty guests took an 'Old Dad' Tea Haikou Bus journey through the city from Haikou's Historic Qilou Street area and past the Clock Tower and Century Bridge. They stopped at Sky Mountain to shoot some video footage, drove past scenic Evergreen Park, shot more footage at a seaside deck with an ocean view, and finally returned to the Qilou Street area.

These guests who have been officially appointed as Hainan International Tourism Ambassadors by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province are Tommy Coleman, Marian Rosenberg, and Alex Raj from the US, Olga Sapunova, Aleksei Andreev, Inira Baiburina, Polina Silicheva, and Kurmanov Aslan from Russia, Iain Inglis, James Alexander, David Janke, Max Passey, and Christopher Karney from the UK, Jennifer Kreisz from Canada, Zobo Ongono Emilienne Charlotte from Cameroon, Lara Netherlands from South Africa, Robert Adolf from Germany, Zeeshan Qasim Khan and Muhammad Ayaz from Pakistan, and Jeremy Grinan from France.

Inira Baiburina from Russia said that it was her honor to serve as one of the 2024 Hainan International Tourism Ambassadors, and spoke of how Hainan's warm sunshine, hospitable beaches, and beautiful scenery welcome travelers to enjoy a laid-back lifestyle on the island.
Christopher Karney from the UK was enthused about telling more of his friends about Hainan's culture, tasty cuisine, and stunning scenery, allowing them to experience the beauty of Hainan.
The twenty newly minted tourism ambassadors will serve as bridges of friendship between the Hainan Free Trade Port and the rest of the globe. They will publish a wide variety of content about Hainan's tourism, culture, and sports as well as presenting a vivid, multi-dimensional, multifaceted view of Hainan through their words, photos, videos, and live broadcasts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, VK, TikTok, and other popular social media platforms across the world.
Under the construction of the world's largest free trade port, Hainan is known for its for abundant resources, tropical style, and multicultural atmosphere. From international duty-free shopping to medical tourism, Hainan is becoming a comprehensive travel destination that combines relaxation, health, and cultural experiences.
In recent years, as Hainan's visa-free policy continues to be optimized and the number of visa-free countries continues to rise, citizens of 77 countries are now eligible to enter Hainan visa-free.
